Hearts for Emma, a 501(c))3 NJ non-profit corporation, is having a 5th annual gala fundraising evening featuring cocktails, dinner, live music from the high-energy party band Mission Dance, dancing and a silent auction on Saturday November 18th, 2017 at the Westwood in Garwood, NJ
Hearts for Emma was founded by Cranford residents Mark and Nancie Rothman after their daughter Emma received a lifesaving heart transplant at age 12. Hearts for Emma provides assistance to families of children with heart disease and supports educational initiatives relating to heart transplantation and organ and tissue donation. Hearts for Emma has provided meals, toiletries, care bags and other supportive measures to families whose child was a patient in the hospital’s cardiac intensive care unit.
Hearts for Emma co-founder Nancie Rothman stated, “When our daughter received her heart transplant, we were so grateful to have had the support of our family and community to help us through what was the most difficult time in our lives. Hearts for Emma was founded to help us live everyday with purpose and to give back. Our gala fundraiser will be a wonderful evening and a way to support a great cause. We invite anyone interested to contact us for information and tickets.”
