Governor’s Educator and Governor’s Educational Specialist of The Year Award Recipients at IEF School
Via nominations and selection by the school’s ScIP (School Improvement Panel), Irene E. Feldkirchner (IEF) Elementary School is pleased and proud to announce Mrs. Danielle Breunig and Ms. Pamela Ostrander as – respectively – Governor’s Educator and Educational Specialist of the Year.
This NJ State Department of Education celebratory program serves to “recognize the State’s best teachers and educational services professionals. Each Governor’s Teacher of the Year can vie for the chance to compete for county, state and national recognition. The County Offices of Education should award all school-level recipients state award certificates. Note: In order to streamline and improve the selection process for the county-level award, there is no longer a district-level competition.” (NJDOE, 2015).
Mrs. Danielle Breunig is a special education teacher serving in a first grade in-class resource classroom in a coteaching model. She has been a teacher in the Green Brook School District for eight years. She is a skilled teacher who also serves on IEF School’s Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) team, and teacher/moderator of the The CLUB – a community service program for students at IEF.
Ms. Pamela Ostrander is IEF School’s nurse. She has served the Green Brook School District as a nurse for twentythree years. She is a skilled health professional who also serves as IEF School’s yearbook advisor, assists with The CLUB, and promotes health and wellness to the student body and staff of the school.
The entire IEF School community congratulates Danielle and Pamela on their achievement!
