Governor Livingston High School recently welcomed noted motivational speaker Marlon Smith, thanks to the efforts and support of the Berkeley Heights PTO and Berkeley Heights Education Foundation.
Mr. Smith provided two daytime presentations for all Berkeley Heights School District students in Grades 8 through 12. In addition, he invited 40 students to a lunch session held in the GL IMC to discuss “Living with Purpose.”
As a world-renowned motivational speaker, Marlon engaged the audience with a powerful presentation on leadership, accountability, and how to critically think your way through challenges. His humorous, welcoming, and direct approach was well-received by students and staff alike.
In addition to the day programs, the Consortium of the Berkeley Heights, Chatham, Millburn, New Providence, and Summit School Districts held an evening program for area students and parents titled Marlon Smith: Empowering Youth Leadership.
Thank you to the BHEF and PTO for this fantastic opportunity afforded to our students and community.
