The Mountainside Police recently hosted a tour of police headquarters, in Mountainside, New Jersey, for several local Girl Scouts. Det. Cpl. Shaun Bendik, Mountainside’s school resource officer, guided the girls through the building showing them the dispatch center, detective bureau, the chief’s office, the cell block, and patrol vehicles. The girls also got a chance to try on an officer’s bulletproof vest.
