Polar Bear Safety Swim
Westfield Girl Scouts recently hosted their first Polar Bear Safety Swim. Cadette and Senior Scouts taught 23 Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors several best practices to keep safe while in or near bodies of water. The younger girls learned about the importance of the buddy system, underwater diving, competitive swim strokes, rip currents, and survival techniques.
