Long Hill Township Girl Scout Troop 4231 recently completed their Silver Award Project. Christine Robles, Ally Vatalare, Elizabeth Lee and Carolyn Russen spent the last year working on a Blanket Baby Project for the Long Hill Township Police Dept.
Each Scout helped to create 15 Blanket Babies to be donated to the Police Department, to be given to small children who they come into contact with during emergency calls.
The Blanket Babies are meant to comfort small children who may become scared during police encounters.
Scouts used yarn to knit the small doll size blanket babies, decorated and packaged them so that the dolls can be carried in each police vehicle, and also stored inside police headquarters.
Congratulations the scouts of troop 4231 for completion of their Silver Award Project.
