Girl Scout Troop 65816 Shares Gift-Filled Shoeboxes

Warren Middle School sixth grade Girl Scout Troop 65816 completed their first community service project of the year to benefit Samaritans Purse. The Troop collected 40 shoe boxes and filled them with toys, school supplies, and bath necessities, to be shipped to children in need in countries all around the world for the holiday seasonOperation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 135 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories.
For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.
