Irene E. Feldkirchner Elementary School, Greenbrook Township, is pleased to announce that Mrs. Genevieve Holczinger has been nominated for the New Jersey Governor’s Teacher of the Year.
Holczinger graduated from Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio in August 1994. She began her teaching career as a special education paraprofessional in September 1994. Since then, she has never looked back.
Mrs. Holczinger came to Green Brook in 2000 and has spent most of her time teaching First Grade. Her belief is that every child deserves a chance to succeed to his/her highest potential. As a teacher, she feels it is her role to support the learners, bring out excitement and wonderment of learning, and create a safe, happy environment with which to learn.
Mrs. Holzcinger is the Team Leader for Grade 1. She infuses technology into her lesson planning and delivery. She creates dynamic learning challenges which encourage students to transfer their knowledge into real-world experiences.
