Garwood Residents Invited to Hear Council Candidates

Garwood Residents Invited

Voters will have a chance to hear the candidates for Garwood Borough Council during a virtual forum later this month sponsored by The Pointe, the condominium development. In the meantime, voters may propose questions to be asked of the candidates during that session. Questions may be sent to PointeForum21@gmail.com

The candidates are Jeff Jotz and Clarissa Nolde, both Democrats, and Heather Loffredo and Kimberly Salmon, Republicans. They are expected to discuss such issues as redevelopment and shared services at a Zoom session beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26.“With all the building under way, Garwood is changing fast,” said Christine Spear, the president of the condominium’s board, “so it’s important the voters see the candidates in action and hear about their plans for the town. This forum is the only opportunity to do so.”

As a public service, a committee of Pointe residents has planned, organized and underwritten these sessions annually since 2012.

For access to the discussion, computer users should go to zoom.comon Oct. 26, then click on “Join a Meeting” and enter the Meeting ID 988 543 6628. For telephone access, dial 1 (646) 558-8656 and enter the Meeting ID when prompted.
