STEM Building
Garwood Public Schools
During the first few days of fourth grade, Miss Tarantino and Mrs. Elias’s students had fun participating in team-building activities! During a STEM activity called “Saving Sam,” students worked in teams to get a gummy worm into its gummy life saver using only one paperclip. Students also took part in “The Paper Chain Challenge,” which involved collaborating to build the longest paper chain with only scissors, tape/glue, and one piece of paper. For both activities, students worked together to develop a plan and carry it out, building problem-solving skills and perseverance.
