June 2 from 11 am to 5 pm Garwood Rocks – Come visit the Library’s booth at the town street fair. Sign up for a card, learn about our programs, participate in our raffle.
June 3 and 10 at 10:30 am – Knitting Club – Join our Knitting Club. Spend an hour being creative and socializing. No Registration required. Yarn and needles provided to newcomers. The knitters will be taking a break for summer after their June 10 meeting. They will resume the club in September.
June 4 All Day – New Jersey Primary Election – The Garwood Public Library is a polling location. The Library will be open, the children’s section will be closed. Our computers and seating are not available. Browsing and check out are permitted.
June 5 at 7:30 pm at the Library – Library Board Meeting – A meeting of the Garwood Library Board of Trustees will take place in the Library. This meeting is open to the public.
June 10 – Summer Reading Sign Up begins– Adventure Begins at Your Library this Summer. We’ll be celebrating all kinds of adventure this Summer. Our Summer events include ice cream parties, scavenger hunts, crafts, and musical programs. You have a chance to win tickets to Great Adventure, the Mall of America’s Legoland Discovery Center, or the Sea Life New Jersey Aquarium.. Registration begins today. Pick up your summer reading packet at the Library from June 10 through July 17.
June 17 at 1:00 pm – Book Discussion Group Join us in the library for a lively discussion of this month’s book, “The Uninvited Guest” by Shari La Pena.
June 26 at 2:00 – Summer Reading Opening Party– Join us for a Summer Reading Kick Off event in the Library parking lot with free ice cream from the Scream Truck. This event is open to those who are registered for summer reading. Registration required.
June 27 at 1:00 – Magic Show – Join Muscle Man Mike for a Space Adventure and some non-stop magic. Registration is required. Limit 30
June 28 from 10 am to 3 pm – Scavenger Hunt – View a picture of the lost the Suitcase on the Library’s Facebook and Instagram pages at 10 am on Friday. Find the lost suitcase somewhere in Garwood. Leave the suitcase for others to find. Return to the Library, report the location of the suitcase by 3:00 to collect a prize.
June 28, at 1 pm – Stomp Rockets– Create stomp rockets. Then launch your rocket outside. For children entering 3rd grade and older. Registration is required.
