Garden of the Month Award

The Garden Club of Westfield has selected a lovely perennial garden at 625 Lenox Ave. in Westfield to receive its Garden of the Month award.
Dr. Kenneth Mirsky and his wife, Ms. Andrea Silkowitz created this garden that extends to the curb about 5 years ago so that passersby could enjoy a short walk through part of their garden. Plants include flowering lavender, daisies and coreopsis as well as a large oak leaf hydrangea and an unusual Hioki cypress tree. Maintaining these gardens requires constant work, the owners commented, but offers great satisfaction to all.
