The Garden Club donated four canvas prints of flower photos to the DeCorso Community Center during a club meeting held on May 16th. Stacy Kinum, Center Coordinator, accepted the donation. The decision to donate the four canvas prints came several months ago, at a meeting where members agreed to offer Garden Club member, Joanne Petcuhovas’s photo artwork, as a gift. The offering was made as thank you gesture for permittance of the club’s center usage.
Center Director, Stacey Kinum and Joanne met and four pieces of photo art were selected to be printed on canvas, which will be displayed on walls of the center.
The club mission is to promote an interest in gardening, landscape design, flower arranging, and encourage the study of horticulture. Club goals are to assist garden club members and members of the community to develop an interest in civic beauty within the community.
Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month, unless otherwise stated, at the DeCorso Community Center from September through June. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. with guest speaker or demonstration. Refreshments are served immediately after the presentation.
