This past Thursday April 30th, the Pediatric Residents at Goryeb Children’s Hospital of Morristown Medical Center held a fundraiser for the Valerie Cancer Center at Goryeb Children’s Hospital. Both patients, doctors and hospital staff members all performed. The list of performers included many pediatric patients. The acts ranged from a Bottle Balancing number from Fiddler on the Roof, to hip hop dancing, to many singers / musicians and comedy bits. Jacob Lesser and Jack Melillo, both 7th graders from Long Hill Township, performed the song “My Hero” by the Foo Fighters and Jacob dedicated it to his friend, Dr. Harvey Bieler. It was a wonderful night for the community and staff – bringing together children with special challenges and their compassionate doctors. It was a magical fun-filled night for all.
