The Gateway Family YMCA will provide a free Family Yoga in the Park class every Friday evening at 6:00pm this summer in Bicentennial Park, located on Tucker Avenue in Union, NJ. Family Yoga is offered to the public for children ages 8 and above, every Friday beginning in June and continuing through the end of August.
“The Gateway Family YMCA strives to provide programs that bring families together in healthy activities,” stated Thomas Galuppo, Director of Healthy Living at The Gateway Family YMCA – Five Points Branch, “Family Yoga in the Park combines a fun activity in a beautiful setting with lasting memories of family time.” The Y creates a positive environment for youth development, and family time is an important tool in this process. The decision to offer this program to the public speaks to the dedication and commitment that The Gateway Family YMCA feels for the greater Union community. “We are here to provide the community with the resources needed to address the most pressing social issues,” added Jessica Samolewicz, Associate Branch Executive Director, “By bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together we can provide support and promote positive change to the health of each individual family and collectively, the greater community.”
