(above) Franklin School 1st grader Luke Hansen (top) and schoolmates enjoy a lively performance by Ginga Brasileira on November 19, 2018 as students explore the history, language and culture of Brazil through music and dance. The dancers enlisted students in performing the Maculele, a stick dance from the Brazilian sugar cane plantations, while showcasing other dances including the Capoeira which combines dance, martial arts, and music.
