At its July 10, 2018 meeting, Summit Common Council approved the installation of a four-way stop at the intersection of Maple Street and Oakland Place, as part of a comprehensive and continuing engineering effort to increase vehicle and pedestrian safety.
In the city of Summit, four-way stops are also required at Whittredge Road and Hobart Avenue, Essex Road and Whittredge Road, and Blackburn Road and Pine Grove Avenue intersections.
The City of Summit is asking motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians to be aware of these new traffic patterns and to drive, bike and walk safely around town.
