The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation (GWACC) approved a $1,000 grant to the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad. They money will help defray a sharp spike in their expenses. This year the squad purchased a new ambulance and was required to purchase new FCC-compliant radio equipment. GWACC Executive Director Gene Jannotti said, “The Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad provides an indispensable service to our community. Their dedicated staff of volunteers continue to ensure no-fee transportation and emergency care 24/7. The Chamber is honored to support their mission.”
