We are excited to announce Florham Park’s 67th Annual Fourth of July Parade. It is reported to be the longest continuously running 4th of July Parade in NJ. This year our theme is “Happy 125th Birthday, Florham Park”. Join us for an exciting day of events!
The parade was started in 1957 by members of the Florham Park Volunteer Fire Department. This year, we are celebrating not only the 67th parade, but also the 125th anniversary of Florham Park’s incorporation.
The Florham Park 4th of July Celebration Committee will host its traditional full-day schedule of activities on Thursday, July 4, 2024. The day starts with a ceremony at Fire Company 1 at 9:00 a.m., immediately followed by the Parade kicking off around 9:30 a.m. with the Parade ending on the grounds of the Florham Park Municipal Complex.
At the conclusion of the parade, join us for a Family Picnic and Social Garden. This late-morning, early afternoon fundraising event includes rides, food, ice cream, and a Social Garden for those aged 21 and older (ID verification required). The day concludes with fireworks at the rear of the municipal complex near Emmett Field starting at dusk.
The Parade will march on rain or shine. The afternoon events are weather dependent. In case of inclement weather, the Social Garden and the fireworks will be rescheduled for Friday, July 5, 2024.
The Fourth of July Celebration depends on community support through donations and volunteer service. We need your support to ensure that our treasured celebration can continue.

Stan and Judy Wisnewski will grace the front of the 2024 Florham Park 4th of July Parade this year. Stan and Judy’s smiling faces will be familiar to many along the parade route as they have been active volunteers in the community for more than 40 years. “The Florham Park 4th of July Committee is delighted to honor Mr. and Mrs. Wisnewski as this year’s Grand Marshals,” said Councilwoman Kristen Santoro, “They are one of the husband and wife duos who work and volunteer together to make Florham Park the Borough we all know and love.”
Judy and Stan Wisnewski raised their family here in the Borough after moving to Florham Park in June 1967. Judy was a dedicated volunteer for youth activities and the PTA in town. Her smiling face welcomed countless friends to their home and made newcomers feel welcome in the community.
As Judy managed the family schedule and volunteered in the schools, Stan served our community in countless ways. Mr. Wisnewski served for 4 years on the Construction Code of Appeals Board, 8 years on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and 8 years on the Recycling Committee. Stan didn’t stop there, however. While Judy made dinner early or kept it warm late, Stan was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Borough Council and then went on to serve for two more full terms.
Today, Stan celebrates 35 years on the Board of Health and 10 years on the Environmental Commission, and he is still an active member of both!
The Wisnewskis volunteerism and commitment to Florham Park hasn’t stopped! Each Sunday night of the Summer, the Wisnewskis can be found organizing the Florham Park Gazebo Concerts for Borough residents to enjoy. They have been active Gazebo Committee members for 40 years! This afternoon of volunteering follows a busy morning of activities at St. Vincent Martyr parish in Madison where they serve as Eucharistic Ministers. There, they also serve on numerous church committees. “Stan and Judy Wisnewski highlight one of the key elements of Florham Park’s history – that we are a ‘Community of Volunteers,’ said 4th of July Committee Member Suzanne Herold, “They remind us that building a strong community requires us to work together at home and for others, all while instilling the importance of volunteerism in our families. Mr. and Mrs. Wisnewski have each used their talents to better Florham Park.”
