2024 Police Unity Tour

Florham Park Police Lt. Brian Ford, Sgt. Frank Pietropinto, Off. Charlie Greenstein, and Off. Nick Grande completed the 300-mile 2024 Police Unity Tour. A bicycle ride which started on May 9th and arrived in Washington, DC on May 12th, 2024. They battled some cold, wind, and rain during a rough day 2, but they persevered as they did not forget the tour’s motto – “We Ride for Those Who Died.”  At the conclusion of the event, which is held during National Police Week, a Candlelight Vigil is held on the National Mall. The Vigil honors the officers who lost their lives in 2023.

The tour, which started in Florham Park in 1997 with only 18 riders, this year culminated in Washington D.C. at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial with over 2,000 riders! The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum.
