Fanwood’s police, fire and rescue squad responders brought out their toys on August 1st for the annual National Night Out event held at LaGrande Park. The National Night Out, which began three decades ago as a demonstration of public solidarity against neighborhood crime, has become an opportunity for police and first responders to mingle with the community, answer questions and show off some of the equipment that allows them to do their jobs. Councilman Kranz stated “Thanks to Police Chief Richard Trigo, Fire Chief John Piccola and Rescue Squad Captain Nancy Mustachio for being out with our citizens and for serving our town every day.”
