All in anticipation of any potential snowfall throughout the remainder of winter, please take note of the Fanwood Department of Public Works (DPW) snow removal guidelines. They are as follows:
- Vehicles should be removed from streets during snowfall to help ensure streets are thoroughly plowed.
- Snow must be removed from sidewalks within 12 hours of daylight after snow has fallen.
- Residents living in a cul-de-sac or dead-end street should not park on the street, otherwise the DPW will be unable to plow.
- Shovel your driveway by the street to the right.
- Do not shovel or blow snow into the center of the road.
- It is recommended not to shovel the last 10 feet of your driveway until the storm has finished and the DPW has plowed your street from curb to curb.
- Basketball hoops, portable or stationary, are NOT Permitted within the borough right of way, including in grass area or near curb, per ordinance 259-25.C. These items inhibit DPW from plowing streets effectively.
