Thousands of people from across the region came to Fanwood’s LaGrande Park on Sunday, July 9, for the first annual Fan Jam music festival in Fanwood. There were five live bands and a classic car show. More than a dozen food trucks, local and regional vendors, and exhibitors celebrated summer on a perfect day in the park. Staged by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the daylong festival promises to be a yearly tradition, judging by the turnout and the good times had by all. Thanks to the many sponsors, including Sheelen’s Crossing which provided a beer garden, Fanwood Animal Hospital, Lightbridge Academy, Goddard School, Two River Community Bank, Family Investors, Fanwood Pharmacy, Fanwood Back Relief and others. Thanks also to the Fanwood Police Department for keeping an eye on everyone and the Fanwood Rescue Squad for being on hand for safety and ambulance tours.
