Senior Girl Scouts from Mountainside troops 40443 and 40468 are organizing a free Open House event at the Hetfield House. There will be ongoing games and crafts for children, food from colonial times, and tours through the historic Deacon Andrew Hetfield House. Stop in at the Hetfield House on May 21st any time between 1 and 4pm to experience a blast from the past. As was once said by Theodore Roosevelt, “the more you know about the past, the better you are prepared for the future.”
The Deacon Andrew Hetfield House is located at Constitution Plaza adjacent to the Mountainside Library. Constitution Plaza is the first right off Birch Hill Road which is off New Providence Road near the Mountainside Volunteer Fire House. The Girl Scouts from troops 40443 are excited to hold this open house to complete their journey award. For further information, please call (908)789-9420; or, go to: www.mountainsidehistory.org.
