Union Township’s Movies Under the Stars to Return June 15, 2018

The Township of Union Recreation Department is proud to bring back their Movies Under the Stars for its fourth year. Held at Rabkin Park, Union, New Jersey, the Movies draw residents from the far reaches of town and provide a one of a kind source of family entertainment.
The first movie, “The Emoji Movie,” will be held on Friday, June 15th at 8:45 p.m.
This animated comedy takes place in Textopolis, a world inside a smartphone that’s inhabited by various emojis. An emoji named Gene, voiced by T.J. Miller, is ashamed that he has multiple facial expressions while his colleagues only have one each, and he embarks on a quest to be like everyone else. James Corden, Anna Faris, Jennifer Coolidge, Patrick Stewart, and Maya Rudolph also lend their voices to this film from Sony Pictures Animation.
Movies are open to the public and are free of charge to attend. Pre-movie entertainment begins at 7:30 p.m., and the movie begins at 8:45 p.m.; blankets and chairs are welcome. Free popcorn will be provided, and local food trucks will be presenting vending food and refreshments.
