Summit High School Spring Musical Pippin Opens Wednesday 02/27

Summit High School Theatre Department’s extraordinary spring musical Pippin opens Wednesday, February 27 at 6:00PM for four nights in the Summit High School auditorium. Purchase tickets at showtix4u.com or at the door on the night of the performance. Ticket prices are $13 for students and seniors, and $16 for adults.

“A troupe of dancers tells the story in this stylized musical of young Prince Pippin’s quest for true happiness,” explains Summit High School Drama Director Anne Poyner. “Our company of talented actors brings to life a coming of age tale with intrigue and magical performances. Please join us with your friends and family for this wonderfully engaging production.”

The story explores the struggles of a young prince and his father, the tyrannical king. The responsibility of leading the empire leaves Pippin lost and confused so he leaves his post in search of something more fulfilling. A young widow named Catherine comes into Pippin’s life with her child Theo and Pippin explores life as a family. The show is recommended for PG-13 due to adult themes and suggestive dance styles.
