The Stirling Elks Lodge 2392 is made up of men and women from Long Hill Township, Berkeley Heights and other surrounding towns who are citizens of the United States, at least 21 years old and who believe in God. Elks programs benefit special needs children, scholarships, scouting, athletic teams, youth activities, veterans and patriotic programs.
The Special Children’s Committee sponsors several functions a year for special needs children and adults. The Stirling Elks hosted its annual picnic for about 80 Our House residents on Sunday, September 25, 2016. It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone enjoyed lots of good food, beautiful weather and great music by DJ Mike. The Stirling Elks sponsors various events for the residents of Our House. Our House has group homes throughout Union, Essex, Somerset and Morris counties. The Stirling Fire Company and the Millington First Aid Squad joined in for this fun day. The Long Hill Police Explorers graciously assisted with this event as well.
