EPD thanked for their service
The Elizabeth Police Emergency Service Unit was outside after this year’s Blue Mass service, and noticed a bystander who wanted to say hello and show us his custom police jacket his mother made him. Chief Sacca gave him some Elizabeth Police Department souvenirs and everyone thanked him for his support.
A Blue Mass is a Mass celebrated annually throughout the United States in the Catholic Church for those employed in the “public safety field” (i.e. police officers, firefighters, correctional officers, 911 operators and EMS personnel).
