Dr. Keith Mason Joins Camp Broadway

Dr. Keith Mason, teacher of Italian at New Providence High School, has joined Camp Broadway as a consultant and study guide author. The New York based company uses theatre as an educational tool. One of the company’s offerings is a series of study guides called StageNotes. Dr. Mason will be developing study guides and digital interactive materials for Broadway musicals and plays. He is currently writing a book entitled “Musicals across the Curriculum” and has published numerous articles on using musicals to enhance student learning. Dr. Mason received eight Rising Star Awards from the Paper Mill Playhouse for Educational Impact for using his school’s spring musicals to enhance the high school curriculum. He observed that “Musicals are not only for entertainment; they can also be powerful educational tools.” Dr. Mason just celebrated his twentieth anniversary at New Providence High School.
