Cub Scout Pack 145 – Den 4 (Tigers)
The tiger scouts went on an outing to Sperry Observatory located in Cranford. The boys watched a slide presentation, listened to information on the planets, stars and moons that are located in the solar system. They also were taught how to use binoculars to look at the night sky.
The scouts were allowed to go into the dome and look at Orion’s belt through the 10 inch lens telescope. Afterwards the boys interacted with members of the Astronomy club located at Sperry Observatory. Huge thank you to Sperry Observatory for their hospitality. Our scouts had a blast!!!
