Crane’s Ford Chapter of the DAR honored two Good Citizens at the annual awards day given by the NJ State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution on April 24, 2015 at their 123rd State Conference in Princeton, NJ. Sabrina D. Garcia from Mother Seton High School in Clark, NJ and Brendan Kane from Cranford High School were the winners sponsored by the Crane’s Ford Chapter. A certificate was presented to each student by State Regent, Mrs. Connie Olde. Brendan Kane was unable to attend the award ceremony and will be presented with the certificate by our chapter chairwoman, Carolyn Youngs.
The DAR Good Citizen contest promotes the work of our youth, this award has been presented for the past 81 years. The students possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. The DAR Good Citizen program is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. The program is open to all high school seniors in public and private schools.
