Clark’s Girl Scout Daisy Troop #40626 planted flowers by the Recreation Center’s entrance on Westfield Avenue this spring. Recreation Director, Ralph Bernardo, provided the girls with beautiful and colorful begonias, which the girls planted. The Hehnly Elementary first graders performed this activity as part of the Girl Scouts “It’s Your World, Change It – Flower Garden Journey,” which consists of a series of projects that help the girls put into action what they have learned through The Girl Scout Promise and Law regarding making the world a better place and helping their community. The girls and their leaders are very happy and proud of their hard work and hope that everybody that visits the Rec Center enjoys the colorful flowers.
