Cranford VFW Post #335 has announced that Saturday, September 9, 2017 will be the date of its annual Picnic. Always a very popular event, it will run from 1:00 pm till 6:00 pm, rain or shine and be held at the Post Home at 479 South Avenue E.
Typical picnic fare will be featured; hamburgers, hot dogs and more, and there will be the Post’s famous “#335 clams” on the half shell, and delicious buttered corn on the cob. Musical entertainment will be provided and there will be prizes and games galore.
Tickets are $20 per in advance and $25 day of. Kids under 12 are free. Of course refreshments are included in the price. Tickets can be purchased at the at the basement lounge at the Post. Proceeds from this event will be used for the Post building fund to provide for building and grounds maintenance and repair.
