Women’s History Month StoryWalk
The Cranford Public Library has partnered with Downtown Cranford to present a Women’s History Month StoryWalk! Pages of the book Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed and Stasia Burrington will be displayed in shop fronts throughout town. Read the story and learn all about Mae Jemison as you walk through Downtown Cranford. Community Art Swap
Saturday, April 9 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Help us divert materials from landfill while encouraging environmentally friendly creation at our first ever Community Art Swap! This all-ages program is being held in the Community Room of the Cranford Community Center. Bring new or gently used arts and craft materials to the Community Center and swap them for something new. Earth Day
April 14
Earth Day is every day! Just ask the Lorax! Let’s discuss how we can help the Earth by Reducing, Reusing, & Recycling. We’ll create a Clean Air poster and make a Truffula Tree bookmark. For grades 1-3 on April 14. Visit the Children’s desk to register and to pick-up your arts and crafts supplies. In-person program. Limit: 10. Masks and social distancing required. 

Geronimo Stilton Book Club
April 28 from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Students in grades 2-4 are invited to join us for a Geronimo Stilton Book Club. We’ll talk about The Sticky Situation, learn about bees, and make fun crafts. Register at the Children’s desk and pick-up your free book & supplies. In-person program. Limit: 10. Masks and social distancing required.  

Creative Patterns Meeting
Wednesday, April 20 at 6:00 p.m.

A Virtual Evening with Raquel Vasquez Gilliland 
Wednesday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m.  
Join us virtually for an evening of conversation with award-winning young adult author Raquel Vasquez Gilliland, the author of Sia Martinez and the Moonlit Beginning of Everything and How Moon Fuentez Fell in Love with the Universe. Raquel is the recipient of the 2022 Pura Belpré Award, presented annually to a Latino/Latina writer and illustrator whose work best portrays, affirms, and celebrates the Latino cultural experience in an outstanding work of literature for children and youth, by the Association for Library Services to Children. FEMA Hope and Healing (Virtual) 
Tuesdays at 2 p.m. 
Join us on Zoom every Tuesday at 2pm for a new virtual program presented by FEMA Hope and Healing Program/RWJ Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention & Recovery. Topics will range from health and wellness to fun and trivia. No registration is required. Contact the Library for more information.  

The Dogs of Chernobyl, 35 Years Later: A Story of Hope and Resilience 
Wednesday, April 27 at 7 p.m. 
Join us on Zoom on for a personal look at the dogs who descended from the pets left behind after the nuclear accident of 1986 with rare videos and photos taken by cat behaviorist Stephen Quandt. It is a story of resilience, hope, life, and even heroism. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Library and the Clark Public Library.
