Cranford Police Department Holds 7th Session of Citizen Academy

The Cranford Police Department will be holding the 7th session of the Citizens Police Academy in September 2018. The Citizens Academy is part of the ongoing effort for the Cranford Police Department and the community to work together and develop a lasting relationship. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and either live in or work in Cranford. Academy students will receive classroom lectures and hands on demonstrations in many areas of interest, including traffic enforcement, crime scene investigations, motor vehicle stops, and much more. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a ride along with a Cranford Police Officer. Weekly class sessions are two hours long and have been tentatively scheduled to meet Thursday evenings beginning on September 13th and ending on November 8th.
