Knights of Columbus Golf Outing blessed with a Hole-in-One

Golf Outing blessed with a Hole-in-One

Submitted by Jonn Dolan

The Cranford Knights of Columbus held our 20th Annual Golf Outing on Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, NJ with over 100 Golfers attending.

Our Council has a very special relationship with Father Krzysztof Maslowski (Father Kris) who was our Worthy Chaplain for many years while serving as a Parochial Vicar at St. Michael’s Church and who is now the Pastor of Holy Spirit Church in Union. Father Kris plays with us every year that he can and this year, we had a very special moment when Father Kris recorded a Hole-in-One on the Par 3 15th Hole.  God smiled down and blessed us with some beautiful weather and even more so with Father Kris and his Hole-in-One. It was a wonderful moment for a great guy and even greater priest.

(above) Accompanying Father Kris and pictured in his Foursome are Father Krystian Burdzy, Ms. Halina Penklo, and Mike O’Brien.

We do not have any special Hole-in-One prizes any more due to increased costs and needing a spotter at each prize hole and our Council will be honoring Father Kris for his special achievement on our own and according to his wishes. Our goal with our Annual Golf Outing is to raise as much money as we can to support all the worthy charities and other organizations that we support on a yearly basis.

The Cranford Council supports many worthy charities and civic causes and is committed to being a viable part of our community.  For information about joining the Cranford Council, please contact our Grand Knight Kevin Cumiskey at 973-390-9327 or visit our web site cranfordknights.org.
