$49,500 in scholarships awarded
The Cranford Jaycees are proud to announce they have awarded a record $49,500 in scholarships to the Class of 2023.
These Cranford students have served our community and demonstrated strong leadership and character qualities in addition to their academic accomplishments:
Ari Barmak, Katie Bendert, Olivia Bufkin, Jonah Capozzi, John Coccaro, Wiliam Domber, Emily Garcia, Cole Golding, Abby Gorman, Garrett Hanlon, Kayla Haughey, Faith Kelly, Madeline Kristov-Weinrach, Molly Love, Cornelius McGovern, Caroline McIntyre, Alexandra Muzzicato, Breona Pizzuta, Sabrina Prata, Andrew Soyka, William Troiano, Sean Woodruff, and Lily Young.
In addition, the Jaycees announced three winners of their Trade Scholarship program. This program launched in 2022 with support from Danny Ghanime, owner of Cranford’s Brighton Air Corp. “I found my way through trade,” said Ghanime, and now through this scholarship with the Jaycees, he “wants to help other kids like him, who feel like they don’t fit into the traditional post-graduation route, find their way, too.”
The three winners are:
Viktor Kubrak, who will be attending Pennco Tech to study automotive technology.
Amber Rosa, who will be attending Union County Vocational-Technical Adult School to study cosmetology
Daniel Schrier, who will be attending Lincoln Tech to study welding.
The Cranford Jaycees congratulate the Class of 2023 and thank the community for supporting their events like the Firecracker Four Miler and Fun Run, which has allowed the organization to greatly expand their scholarship program.
