A Record $50,000 in Scholarships Awarded
Cranford Jaycees
The Cranford Jaycees are proud to announce they have awarded a record total of $50,000 in scholarships to 27 students of the Class of 2024.
These Cranford students have served our community and demonstrated strong leadership and character qualities in addition to their academic accomplishments:
Isabelle Cleaveland, Nora Cumiskey, Owen Cumiskey, Owen Giblin, Jack Goodwin, Lily Goodwin, Rebecca Handsman, Daniel Kennedy, Alexandria Kruk, Julia Lucas, Angela Marino, Miles Murphy, Lindsey Mychalzcuk, Abigail Nam, Ethan Orr, Olivia Padovano, Kianna Riera, Leah Rogers, Samatha Schiffl, Drew Shusterman, Olivia Stoplielo, Evan Surmay, and Ryan Turnamian
In addition, the Jaycees announced four winners of their Trade Scholarship program. This program launched in 2022 with support from Danny Ghanime, owner of Cranford’s Brighton Air Corp.
This year’s winners are:
- Destiny Curtis, who is already attending Union County Vocational Technical School (UCVTS) studying Cosmetology
- Ava Lanier, who will be attending the Aveda Arts and Science Institute to study Cosmetology
- Julia Lee, who will be attending UCVTS to study Cosmetology
- Howard Mann, who will also be attending UCVTS to study in their Electrical Program.
The Cranford Jaycees congratulate the Class of 2024 and thank the community for supporting their events like the Firecracker Four Miler and Fun Run, which has allowed the organization to greatly expand their scholarship program.
