Community Programs Recognized By NJRPA

Summit Community Programs was recently recognized by the New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association with three separate awards presented during the Annual NJRPA Conference held last week in Atlantic City.
DCP Brand Manager, Sophie H. Mannaerts and DCP Board Presiding Officer, James Colucci proudly took home the Agency Showcase Award in Digital Media Promotion for their work on Shark Diddy TV. Each segment of Diddy TV covers a different SFAC safety topic, educating patrons on proper use of life jackets, general pool safety rules, and more.
Accepting the Daniel M. Gasalberti Recreation Programming Award was DCP Programmer, David Guida for his work on Paddleboarding at the SFAC. David developed and implemented the Paddleboarding Program in the summer of 2015, welcoming members and non-members to participate alongside trained instructors from Summertime Surf and Paddle School of Belmar, NJ. This highly successful program will continue into the upcoming SFAC season.
The final and most coveted award of the night, the Fay S. Mathewson Crystal Award, was also presented to James Colucci, this time recognizing him as a “Friend of Recreation, Parks, and Conservation.”
Through the years, James has exemplified an exceptional level of dedication to the DCP, volunteering his time at all events and fundraising efforts. James has also devoted his professional services to the DCP, capturing the SFAC and all DCP parks and facilities with HD and Aerial Photography.
Overall, it was a proud night for Summit Community Programs at the 2016 NJRPA Conference. All three awards are now on display at the Community Center, 100 Morris Avenue.
