Berkeley Heights has almost reached its goal for the Green Community Challenge Pledge. More than 200 residents have made a commitment to protecting the environment by signing the Pledge. “Our goal is for 241 residents to sign off on the pledge,” says Environmental Commissioner Kinan Tadmori. “Many of your neighbors have already taken the pledge. It’s easy and just takes a minute or two. The only requirements are that you be a Berkeley Heights resident and over 18 years of age. Please spread the word.”
The pledge is available at https://tinyurl.com/gut6mc4.
This is not an advertising promotion: residents’ names and addresses will be kept confidential. The action will help Berkeley Heights reach Sustainable Jersey Silver Certification.

The Berkeley Heights Environmental Commission was established to protect, develop or use natural resources, including water resources, located within the Township. The Commission comments on and recommends plans to the Zoning Board, and it recommends plans and programs to the Planning Board for the development and use of open lands and wetlands. All the members volunteer their time on a variety of projects and tasks.
