A Multitude of Recreational Activities Delight Residents
This summer, Clark Township upheld its reputation as a vibrant and engaging community, offering an array of recreational activities that kept residents of all ages entertained and engaged. From the cool Tuesday night concert series to the thrilling paddle board experience at the community pool, Clark Township has truly showcased its commitment to fostering a sense of unity and enjoyment among its residents.
The concert series brought music enthusiasts and families alike to enjoy free live performances under the open sky. These musical evenings are offered as part of Clark’s commitment to the NJ Mayors Wellness Campaign, creating an environment where neighbors can relax, come together and make lasting memories.
One of the season’s highlights was undoubtedly the inaugural cardboard boat races held at the community pool. Residents embraced their creativity and ingenuity, constructing boats made from cardboard, then racing them across the pool’s sparkling waters.
For families seeking immersive experiences, the Clark Recreation Day Camp proved to be the ultimate destination. From arts and crafts sessions that nurtured creativity to the exhilaration of foam parties and laser tag battles that brought out the competitive spirit, the camp was a treasure trove of activities. Children reveled in archery sessions, slipped down water slides, bounced on trampolines, and enjoyed pony rides—all within the camp’s inviting and safe environment.
The festivities didn’t stop there. Summer camp also included a lineup of water days, captivating performances, pulsating DJ sets, and classic carnival games that elicited laughter and excitement. This comprehensive array of activities provided a sense of community and togetherness that resonates deeply for Clark families.
Mayor Bonaccorso expressed his enthusiasm for the summer’s success, stating, “Clark Township continues to shine as a place where residents can truly experience the essence of community spirit. The range of activities offered this summer highlights the extraordinary Recreation Department we have under the direction of Ralph Bernardo.”
As summer winds down, Clark Township stands proud, having showcased its commitment to fostering a welcoming and vibrant environment for all.
