The Smartest Card in Your Wallet is available at the Clark Public Library
September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, a time when the nation’s public libraries highlight the value of a library card. A public library card is your ticket to free educational resources and activities that bring families together. Libraries not only provide resources to parents and children that support early literacy and lifelong learning, but truly transform how families spend time together. Card holders have free access to a family destination that provides a spectrum of free services, including digital workshops for all-ages; STEAM programs/activities; family storytimes; and game nights. “Our library provides access and programs for students of all ages,” says Dawn Jenkin, Library Director. “For preschool age children we offer early literacy storytimes to encourage school readiness, for older children and teens we supplement education with hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM ) programs, and for older teens we have information and tools to help prepare for college.” For more information on how to sign up for a library card, visit the Clark Public Library in person at 303 Westfield Avenue, next to the police station or visit the library online at www.clarklibrary.org. Be sure to visit the library and enjoy these free events for people of all ages.
