Summer Reading Registration: Sign up if you haven’t already done so! Kids, teens and adults can log their reading at clarklibrary.beanstack.org to win prizes!
Children registered for the summer reading challenge get a raffle ticket for display case prizes for attending children’s programs!
Note the following library schedule changes and closures:
The library will be closed on Sundays. Sunday hours will resume after Labor Day.
The library will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day.
Tales for Tots, Mondays, July 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 at 9:45am OR at 10:30am
Stories and songs for active listeners. Geared toward ages 2-3 with a caregiver.
Older children are welcome! 30 minutes of open play follows. Please register.
Muscle Man Mike’s Outer Space Magic Show on Monday, July 1 at 6:30pm
Join us for an out of this world magic show from Muscle Man Mike and his pal, Astronaut Annie!
Baby Bookworms on Tuesdays, July 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 at 10am
Babies and toddlers are invited to listen to some books, and learn some songs, rhymes, lap bounces, and fingerplays. 30 minutes of open play follows.
Patches and Stitches on Tuesdays, July 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 from 12pm – 2pm
Bring your quilt or other crafty project and visit with the members of the quilting club.
Adventures in Food Around the World for Kids on Tuesdays, July 2, 16 & 23 at 3pm
Join us in making some fun treats to eat focusing on different areas of the world!
At this session we will be making fruit rockets. Please be aware of any food allergies that may be present. Food labels will be available at the event.

Calling all Lego® Master Builders! Join us for an all-ages building event. To celebrate this year’s summer reading challenge, Adventure Begins at the Library, try your hand at building a world landmark to display this summer!
Maybe you can build the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, Burj Khalifa, or even a mini Grand Canyon? Show us your master building skills!

Didgeridoo Down Under on Thursday, July 25 at 7pm
Join us on an epic adventure to the Land Down Under, where we’ll hear otherworldly sounds from the didgeridoo, we’ll explore the Great Barrier Reef and the Outback, we’ll learn about amazing creatures like kangaroos and koalas … and much more!
The Didgeridoo Down Under Show is an energetic fusion of Australian music, culture, comedy, character building, storytelling and audience participation. It’s interactive, educational, motivational and super fun for all ages!
