Please register for any programs through the online calendar on our website at clarklibrary.org, in person, by phone at 732-388-5999, or by email at reference@clarklibrary.org and state which program you would like to attend.
The library is now closed on Sundays through Labor Day.

It is time for our annual Summer Reading Challenge, All Together Now! All ages are encouraged to participate! Registration is open now. Register using the free Beanstack Tracker App (available in the App Store or Google Play) or online at clarklibrary.beanstack.org. Tickets are earned for reading in each program and then entered into drawings for a variety of prizes! All ages can keep reading and submitting tickets through Beanstack until August 31. Children earn raffle tickets for attending library events, too!
6 Word Book Review, July 3-31
Teens are invited to submit 6 Word Book Reviews for their finished summer reads. Love a book and want to share it? Think wisely about the 6 words you will use in your recommendation! Open to Grades 6-12.
Tales for Tots on Mondays, July 3, 10, 17 & 31 at 10am
Stories and songs for active listeners. Geared toward ages 2-3 with a caregiver. Older children are welcome!30 minutes of open play follows.
Drop-In Patriotic Craft for Kids on Monday, July 3 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Stop by the Kid’s Corner of the library to make a Statue of Liberty craft. Geared toward pre-school through elementary school.
Krafty Kids on Wednesdays, July 5, 12, 19, & 26 at 3pm
Join us as we make some fun and creative artwork! Don’t forget to bring your imagination and creativity! Registration is required. Geared for entering Kindergarten-5th grade.

No-Sew Blanket Community Event, July 6, 13, 20, & 27
Help us reach our goal! The Clark Public Library will be making No-Sew Blankets for Project Linus, a local charity that accepts donations for kids in the community who have had a trauma or are in need. We are breaking the process down into the following programs:
Cutting: Thursday, July 6, 2-3pm (Teen & Adult)
Tying: Thursday, July 13, 3-4pm (All Ages)
All Stages: July 20, 2-3pm and July 27, 7-8pm (All Ages)
All Together Now LEGO Building Challenge, Thursday, July 6 between 3pm – 8pm
Join us for an all ages LEGO® building event for your chance to show off your master building skills! We will show a Lego movie and have a Lego craft for before or after building your creation! Online voting for winners in various age categories will take place beginning Friday morning through 1 pm on Monday, 7/10. Winners will be notified by email.
Stories & More on Fridays, July 7, 14, 21, & 28 at 10am
Stories, movement, songs followed by a simple craft for active listeners ages 3 – 5 years old. Registration is required.
Friday Family Flicks on Fridays, July 7, 14, 21 & 28 at 2pm
Beat the heat Friday afternoons while watching a family friendly movie and munching on popcorn! All movies will feature the theme of friendship and kindness for bringing us All Together Now.
Union County Aging Services Kiosk on Monday, July 10 from 10am – 12 pm
Do you have questions about services available in Union County for seniors or their caregivers? Come visit the Union County Aging Services Kiosk, speak to our specialist and get answers to your questions.
Wolf Dogs of Howling Wood Farms, Monday, July 10 at 7pm
Howling Woods Farms will be visiting the Library with their wolf dogs. They will be talking about their non-profit organization, wolves, and wolf dogs. Howling Woods Farms provides a safe sanctuary for these wolves. Patrons will be able to meet the wolf dogs. This event is for 5 years old and up.
Priority registration for Clark residents with library cards. All others will be on the pending wait list.
Teen Shark Week String Art, Monday, July 10 at 2pm
Teens are invited to join us in making beached themed string art to celebrate shark week! Each participant will leave with a piece of art to display. Registration is required.
[Hybrid] Baby Bookworms on Tuesdays, July 11, 18, & 25 at 10am
Babies and toddlers are invited to listen to some books, and learn some songs, rhymes, lap bounces, and fingerplays. 30 minutes of open play follows. Registration is requested. Virtual option is available.
Patches and Stitches on Tuesdays, July 11, 18, & 25 at 12pm – 2pm Bring your quilt or other crafty project and visit with the members of the quilting club.
Barks & Books on Tuesday, July 11 at 2pm & Thursday, July 27 at 2pm
If you have a young, reluctant or struggling reader, we want you to meet our therapy dogs! They are non-judgmental listeners and furry friends to read to that won’t laugh if your child makes a mistake or stumbles over a word. Children learn to associate reading with being with the dog, and begin to view reading in a positive way. Over time, the child’s reading ability and confidence can improve because they are practicing their skills. Children will each get approximately 15 minutes of reading time with Bubble & Magnolia.
Stem Club on Tuesdays, July 11, 18, 25 & Aug 1 at 3pm or 4pm
Have fun exploring, experimenting, designing, and creating with a new theme each session!

1000 Cranes Community Project on Wednesday, July 12 at 11am
Help us reach our goal of making 1000 origami cranes to display in the library. Learn how to make paper cranes and take supplies to make more at home! This program is open to all ages, but children under 7 might find it challenging.
Tinker Tots on Tuesday, July 13 at 10am
Come join us for a morning of fun STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities perfect for little ones. Play is station based. For children ages 1 through pre-k. Please register.

Join us for Bluey Trivia for the whole family.
Pointer Bee Farm, Friday, July 14 at 11am
Pointer Bee Farm will be here for an amazing presentation on beekeeping and the importance of bees! They will also bring an observational hive to see the bees! A question and answer period follows the presentation.
Teen Gaming Club, Monday, July 17 1-2:30pm
Drop by the library for a fun afternoon of gaming. Play some Nintendo Switch games on our big screen or bring your own device. Snacks will be served! Open to Grades 6-12.
Evening Book Club on Monday, July 17 at 7pm

YoBoo combines Yoga & Bootcamp, giving kids the ability to use their mind, body, and spirit in fast, slow, and freezing movements featuring music and stories for non-stop fun! Sign up for one session or all four! For ages 3 and up.
The Seeing Eye on Tuesday, July 18 at 7:00pm
Visit with Seeing Eye puppies while learning about the important work of The Seeing Eye organization. Learn how the dogs are raised and trained to assist people who are blind or visually impaired. Open to all ages.
Kumpf Middle School Summer Reading Book Discussion on Thursday, July 20 at 6:30pm
Join us to discuss the required summer reading title “Linked” by Gordon Korman. Share your thoughts and questions about the book and learn what your classmates think as well.
Little Scientist STEAM on Thursday, July 20 at 3pm
Learn how to build and create with our Science Experiments! Each session will be a different experiment that will touch upon a different STEM skill.
Teen Gel Plate Printmaking, July 24 at 2pm
Teens are invited to join us in this exciting new program where we will be using printing plates made of a sturdy, reusable gel material. Learn this printmaking technique and leave with a piece of art! Open to Grades 6-12. Registration is required and space is limited.
Afternoon Book Club on Tuesday, July 25 at 1:00pm

oin us for Kid’s Bingo! We will play at least 3 rounds of Bingo, using a traditional number bingo board and a themed picture bingo! Prizes for winners and runners-up. Priority registration for Clark residents with a library card.
