We provide the LEGO® blocks; you provide the creativity. This program is for children in grades K – 5.

Jack the Ripper – A Mystery of Mysteries
Thursday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Join clinical psychologist and “Ripperologist” Dr. Mark Vogel as he presents the case of one of the most infamous serial murderers of all time. Dr. Vogel has studied the case, reviewed original police files, and visited the murder sites. He’ll discuss the mysteries within the mystery: Was Jack the Ripper a doctor? Are the famous letters authentic? Why did he stop? How did he succeed in committing so many murders without being caught? Due to the intense nature of the topic and the accompanying images in Dr. Vogel’s presentation the program is not recommended for children.
Mad Science Spooktacular
Sunday, October 16 at 2:30 p.m.
Through a mixture of science and magic the audience will see a paper spider turn into a ‘real-live’ spider. Hear the tales of Count Eggbert and Countess Eggberta as they battle the wicked witch. This program is for grades K – 5.
Pumpkin Painting
Monday, October 17 at 3:30 p.m.
Learn fun facts about pumpkins and then paint a pumpkin to take home with you! Registration is required.
This program is for children in grades K – 5. Please be sure to bring a smock or old t-shirt as we will be working with paint. Registration will close on Sunday, October 16 at 5:00 p.m. to ensure adequate supplies.
Coder Dojo
Saturday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m.
CoderDojo is a free programming workshop. Our goal is to help kids understand how to code and teach them to love coding. This event is for children ages 9 – 14 years old. For more information and to register please visit

Favorite Food and Libations of Past Presidential Families
Monday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m.
Put aside political views for the evening and look at the lighter side of the presidential office! Join food historian Judith Krall-Russo for an exploration of the favorite foods and beverages of past presidential families. Learn how the Presidents entertained at State dinners and how they entertained family and friends. Did you know that George Washington loved honey, and Martha had a great fondness for cake? Thomas Jefferson never invited more than 12 guests for dinner. A favorite beverage of President Garfield was tea; he even had his own recipe for an herb tea that included catnip.
