Cub Scout Pack 145 Goes Scouting For Food
Submitted by Joe Limone
Clark Cub Scout Pack 145 recently collected food to help its community through the annual Scouting for Food program sponsored by ShopRite.
Throughout the United States, thousands of scout troops and packs participate in gathering food to supporting neighbors in need by helping to stock local soup pantries and food banks. Scouts reached out to family, friends, and neighbors to gather canned foods, pastas, powdered milk, peanut butter, cereal, dried fruit, fruit juice, and baby formula.
Pack 145 has been busy this fall with service projects, having performed clean up duties at the Annual Clark UNICO Italian American Feast in October and organizing a Toys for Tots toy drive.
The substantial amount of food collected by Pack 145 for Scouting for Food was donated to the food pantry at Osceola Presbyterian Church in Clark. Pack 145 thanks all families, friends, neighbors, and community members who contributed to the successful food drive.
