The Fanwood Green Team and the Fanwood Borough Council are currently seeking vendors for the 2016 Green Fair, scheduled for Saturday, July 23rd. Environmentally focused businesses and nonprofit organizations are invited to register. It’s a great opportunity to showcase sustainable and ecofriendly products and services to the public. Nonprofit organizations can register for free.
The deadline for registration is July 15th. The Green Fair event will be held on the front lawn of the Fanwood Borough Hall at 75 N Martine Avenue from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendor setup begins at 8:30 a.m. The event aspires to educate the community on ways to incorporate environmentally sustainable lifestyle practices into their everyday lives. The event will also earn the Borough of Fanwood points toward our Sustainable Jersey Certification.
The certification program is part of Sustainable Jersey, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 2009 that supports community efforts to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions and improve environmental quality. Certification offers grant opportunities in addition to reducing the borough’s waste and energy consumption.
