Walk to School Day
Families were encouraged to walk to school on Friday, October 4, 2019, for the annual Brookside Place School (BPS) Walk to School Day. Before the school day began, members of the Cranford Police Department (CPD) came out to support the effort and Sgt. Perrotta spoke about pedestrian and bicycle safety. Safe walking and bicycling to school will reduce crashes, enables children to incorporate regular physical activity and healthy habits, reduces vehicle congestion in and around school grounds, and encourages independence in children, Sgt. Perrotta said.
