Boys & Girls Clubs Receive Grant From Elizabethtown Gas

Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County recently received a $5,000 grant award from Elizabethtown Gas Private Foundation (AGL Resources) to support the Project Learn Program. Project Learn: The Education Enhancement Program features five major components: Homework help and tutoring, High-yield Learning, Adult Involvement, Collaboration with Schools, and Incentives. Brian MacLean, President of Elizabethtown Gas and BGCUC Board Member, presented the check to Russell Triolo, CEO at the recent BGCUC Annual Meeting.
“Elizabethtown Gas has been a long-time partner and we look forward to expanding our existing programs with their support,” said Russell Triolo, Chief Executive Officer. “Project Learn is a core program in the Boys & Girls Clubs movement and is a great benefit to the youth we serve.”
Elizabethtown Gas, a subsidiary of AGL Resources, has been a partner of Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County for many years. This collaboration has provided resources for enhanced and new programs, reaching thousands of youth ages 5-18 in Union County. Elizabethtown Gas has also supported our 60th Anniversary Gala Celebration and annual Youth of the Year Awards Dinner.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County is celebrating 60 years of changing lives in Union County! Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County offers youth programs in 5 communities in Union  County: Plainfield, Elizabeth, Union, Hillside and Roselle. Teen leadership programs for ages 14-18 are available in Union, Elizabeth and Plainfield. Members participate in character, leadership, career preparation and community service activities throughout the year. Aquatics is available at our Union Club.
