Each year, the Boy Scouts generously conduct a food drive that fills our pantry as we enter the winter months.
This year, the drive was held during the last week of October. Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 75 and Cub Scout Troops 103, 75 and 178 dropped notices around town the weekend of October 22-23 that they would return on Saturday, October 29 to pick up much need supplies for families in need.
Hundreds of pounds of food were donated by Cranford’s kindhearted residents that were stocked on our shelves by the Boy Scouts and by CFC Board members and volunteers.
The CFC always is in need of non-perishable items such as rice, cereal, coffee, pasta, sauces, soups, and canned fruits and vegetables. Donations of gift cards and cash enable us to purchase fresh meat for our families and these are accepted year round.
Please call 908-276-3530 before making a delivery toensure someone is there to receive it; no items may be left infront of the building. And, of course, financial donations andgift cards are always welcomed and can be mailed to 61 Myrtle Street, Cranford, NJ 07016
